This document was drafted on 2 September, 1990 as part of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and has become the seminal document for speaking about the rights of children in the world.Anyone interested in issues of marginalized youth and injustice would benefit from getting to know these documents. (Also - See Key Terms) They present a clear charter for an ideal which has not yet been realized in many parts of the world - particularly in the United States!
